May 25th, 2007 my solo show at Studio Gallery will open. The reception is from 6 to 8 pm, and there will be an additional reception on June 1st for the First Friday Gallery event in Dupont Circle. On June 10th, I will host an artist's talk and "Green Art" discussion, which will kick off at 2pm. The last day to see the show will be Saturday June 16th.
April 13 to May 20, 2007 Artomatic is back! This year it's in Virginia: 2121 Crystal Drive, Arlington. Around 400 artists will take over the space formerly occupied by the US Trademark and Patent Office. A number of artists associated with the Glass School will show here. I've been asked to lead a tour for a EPA employees around to see which "Green artists" have dislayed their work. The tour will start Wednesday April 17 at 2.30pm on the 6th floor. It's great to see interest from outside the art community for this event and the growing group of green artists.
January 2007, we're finally in our permanent space at 3700 Otis Street. We're still waiting to get the additional electricity we need from PEPCO.
September 10 to October 6, 2006, we have a great show at Visarts, which is occupying a temporary location in Gaithersburg. They hope to be in their brand new building in Rockville next year. "Seeing is believing" is the title and there will be a panel discussion "Art or Craft?" at the gallery Sunday September 24, 3-5pm.
September 2006 the courtyard piece for the EPA Ariel Rios building is finished. A glass dome covers the throat to an underground cistern designed to collect the rain water from the building. See the finished work here.
June 2006, for First Friday on June 2nd in Dupont Circle, I will have work on display at Studio Gallery, in the new upstairs area. I'll be there from 6pm to 8pm.
May 2006, American Style magazine has an article on our glass studio. It really highlights what we try to do at the glass studio, and the printed version has quite a few pictures of my pieces.
May 2006, Arts Afire in Alexandria hosts the National Capital Art Glass Guild show: "Myriad Forms of Glass". I'll be there for the reception on Saturday May 6 from 5 to 8pm, and again for the Renwick Alliance tour on Saturday May 13th around 1pm.
March 2006, I will talk in the "Artists and Artifacts" series of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington on March 29th at 2:40pm. This is a small presentation about my work in glass.
February 2006, we installed the art work in the new Marbury Wing extension of the Prince George's County courthouse today; it was nice to see this piece so long in the making finally rest on the wall.
January 2006, Washington Glass Studio moved to our temporary location at 3708 Wells Ave in Mount Rainier, MD.

May 2005, Fraser Gallery is hosting “Compelled by Content”, a show that focuses on content rather than technique. It opens Friday May 13th, and runs through June 5th, 2005. It should be a well attended opening, as the show has been gathering quite some notice.
March 2005, I have 2 pieces in the 25th anniversary neon show at Zenith Gallery; “Re-Vision”. The show runs from March 11th to April 17th, 2005 with openings on March 11th (6-9) and 12th, (3-7).
December 2004, the Washington Glass Studio will have the annual holiday sale/open house on Saturday December 11th, from 2 to 6. As always the address is 1338 Half Street, SE. We’ll have goodies to munch on, goodies for sale, maybe a band. A great way to start the holiday season.
November 2004, Art-O-Matic is happening again. If you’ve been in the past, you know it is not to be missed. This year we are in the old Capital Children's Museum, 800 3rd Street NE,(cross street is H, behind Union Station). It is open from Tuesday through Sunday, noon to late. The opening is Friday 12 November, from 7pm on.
September, 2004, I will be at 2 street fairs with the Glass Studio. The first is Adams Morgan Day, on September 12. We will have a booth on Belmont Street, selling all sorts of goodies. The next street fair is "Arts on Foot", the week after. It is on Saturday the 18th in front of the Spy Museum on F St. NW between 7th and 9th, from 11am to 5pm.
September, 2004, I got into a show in New York, which opens the day after the Target Gallery show, Sept 10. This is at the Flux Factory and is named Refuse. It is all about recycling and making art from
... you guessed it, refuse. Right up my alley I thought. I will have some of my recycling oriented pieces, mostly tables and lights.
September, 2004 Ms. Sally Hansen (from the Glass Gallery in Bethesda selected one of my pieces to go into the "Transformed by Fire" show
in the Torpedo Factory. This is an all glass show, and features many prominent glass artists from all over the country. Tim and Mike are also in. The show is up from September 1st to October
3rd, but the opening reception is September 9th, 6-9pm, with a talk by Ms. Hansen.

7 - January 25, 2002/3, we have some small gift type items at the "Of
Small Things" show at the Dega Gallery in Mclean, VA.
The opening reception is December 7, 2002, from 5 to 7 pm. The address is 8100 Old Dominion Dr. Mclean, VA.
October 31 - November 30, 2002, Art-O-Matic
takes over. This year the mega-show is held at the Waterfront Mall, 401 M St.,
SW. in the old EPA
Educational Center.
If you only go to one art show this year, make this it. Almost 1000 artist show
their best in painting, sculpture, music, theater, dance, poetry etc. Students
and staff of Meltdown are showing on the 2nd floor, just across from the
stairs/elevator as you come in. You can't miss the flashing neon sign.
October 10 - October 24, 2002, Hickok, Warner, Fox Architects host their annual
Art Night, this time in their new location in Georgetown. The show is mostly intended for
clients, associates, and staff, but if you have a burning desire to go, let me
know. Several of my pieces will be on display.
October 2- October 24, 2002 the Millennium Arts Center Glass Invitational, is
up at the Millennium Arts Center.
I have a lighted glass sculpture in the show, which features famous and some

September 7 - 8, 2002. I will be in the Meltdown Glass
School booth at the Adams
Morgan Arts Festival. The artist booths will be on the 1800 block of Belmont Rd, Adams
Morgan, Washington, D.C. We will have information about the
school and class schedules, and teachers and TAs will have a chance to sell
their glass work. Come join us, it should be a great day!
July 17 - August 11, 2002. Michael O'Sullivan, art critic for the Washington
Post picked his favorite pieces for "Post This! An Art Critic's
Choice" and one of my sculptures got in. Studio Gallery is
organizing the show and we'll have a reception and awards presentation Sunday,
July 21st, from 3-5. For First Friday (August 2, 6-8pm) there will be an
additional reception. Studio Gallery is located at 2108 R St., NW, downstairs from the Anton Gallery.

June 8th "Forged and Found", the new show from the glass and steel
sculptural development class, opened with a bang. The Millennium Arts Center hosted open
studios and it was Kari's birthday. The show can be seen at 65 I (eye) St. SW, Washington
DC. Thursday through Saturday

in.
ArtBasement has moved. It was an immense undertaking, but all the pre-art has been
relocated to Silver Spring.
April 18 - May 25, 2002. GlasSpiel, the narrative quality of glass, is showing
at the Millennium
Arts Center.

March 1 - 28, 2002. I had promised more to come and here it is. Meltdown Glass School
presents "Glasstijl", the interpretation of glass and steel in

February 4 - May 3, 2002. The
Washington Sculptors Group presents Sculpture Now 2002. Juror Phil Lee
chose one of my lighted pieces to be in this show, in the Washington Square building, 1050 Connecticut Ave. NW
at L Street,
in DC. This is not your traditional gallery setting, but the wide open space
lends itself perfectly to displaying the 30 sculptures. We will have an
artist's reception/opening Monday, February 4, 6-8 pm to which you are all
invited. Juror and artists symposium: Wednesday, April 17, 6:30-8pm.
