We have owned this Saab since July 1998. It is an '89 model, with just under 90K miles when we bought it and it has held up well since. We drove it all over California and across the country to Washington D.C. It's our daily driver, actually Veronique's daily driver, but I end up driving it most of the time.
Driving in D.C. is frighteningly unorganized. No left-turn lanes, and on-street parking in the right lanes clogs up even major arteries. Potholes and broken-up road surfaces are the rule. And, it is the only city in the US, where I have seen drivers completely ignore red lights.
I find the suspension and the automatic transmission of the Saab just right for this kind of city driving, so I've left well enough alone. On the right you can select from an overview of the repair/maintenance, the accessories I've added, or general 'new' pictures. A great source of information is Saabnet.
