What started as a necessity, turned into a hobby out of control. We have a yellow Fiat 124 Spider, a "new" Bertone X1/9 that is still red, a brown Lancia Beta HPE and a "Nordic" blue Saab 9000 turbo parts hauler.
For me the styling of older cars radiates more romance and individualism. I don't even remember ever owning a car from the same decade. My cars get me around in style and still have many 'modern' conveniences. You have to be reasonably handy in restoring and maintaining them, though. There are not many shops that will service them anymore. I've learned a lot about sculpture from working on cars, and a lot about cars from making sculptures.
